We had the opportunity to hang out with new friends and get to know more people around this area. Putting myself out there to get to know people has been fun. But at times I'm still trying to figure out where we fit in with our new found friends and if we belong.
My husband and I like to call it "Couple Dating." We ask each other questions to see if we're compatible and have any of the same interests. Sometimes you find yourselves in awkward conversations and weird silences. Other times you feel like this couple was a match made in heaven and when you get home you can't stop talking about how cool they are. It's funny how you're comparing notes with your husband when you get home. You tell him I liked so and so but those others guys I'm not sure sure about. In a round about way your dating all over again but with a couple.
Moving to a new area has been an adjustment. We have really had to put ourselves out there to meet people. It can be hard , but you never know what kind of friendships you can develop until you try. Try and meet someone new this week.
